Management Models in Organizations and Problems of CSR Promotion: Lithuanian Case

The article tackles the problems of CSR initiatives and human resource development in Lithuanian organizations. Proceeding from the results of empirical researches the authors analyze social-cultural obstacles, which blocks up the headway of CSR processes, and particularly emphasize the problems of social responsibility in organizations of state/public administration, and especially in educational system. They maintain and prove necessity of value management and reconstruction of management models through introducing of ethics infrastructure in organizations.

This study aimed to investigate the developmental dynamics between children's mathematical performance, the task-focused versus task-avoidant behaviours they show in the classroom, and their parents' beliefs concerning their school competence. The mathematical performance of 111 six- to seven-year-old children was tested, and their task-focused versus task-avoidant behaviours were rated by their teachers four times during their first school year. The chapter focuses on how members in participatory cultures engage in everyday, informal, and interest-driven social and discursive practices primarily on social media but also in ways that relate to the material and physical contexts of their lives. We show how social actors operating in these sites construct gender and sexuality intersectionally and multimodally. It is known that viral infections can cause acute, chronic, and autoimmune diseases (ADs). However, the mechanism of how a persistent viral infection contributes to ADs remains still unclear. In this thesis, pathological and immunological aspects of how common viruses can initiate autoimmunity were investigated, and human parvovirus B19 (B19V) was employed as a model virus. B19V non-structural protein 1 (NS1), a superfamily 3 (SF3) helicase, initiated DNA damage resulting in cellular apoptosis. Human Papillomavirus Types 16, 18, and 31 Share Similar Endocytic Requirements for Entry

ABSTRACT Human papillomavirus type 18 (HPV18), one of the HPVs with malignant potential, enters cells by an unknown endocytic mechanism. The key cellular requirements for HPV18 endocytosis were tested in comparison to those for HPV16 and -31 endocytoses. HPV18 (like HPV16 and -31) entry was independent of clathrin, caveolin, dynamin, and lipid rafts but required actin polymerization and tetraspanin CD151, and the viruses were routed to the same LAMP-1-positive compartment. Hence, the viruses shared similar cellular requirements for endocytic entry.

Human metapneumovirus, with two known genotypes named A and B, is associated with mild respiratory symptoms to severe LRTI in children, high-risk adults and the elderly. Rapid and reliable methods of hMPV detection in clinical samples are essential to implement appropriate care, to better understand the pathology of hMPV and to determine its epidemiology. Respiratory samples from 1,386 patients collected during 2 consecutive years were screened for hMPV using indirect immunofluorescence (IFA) assay with a monoclonal antibody.
